Here’s a reason to play Into the Breach again

Made by Subset Games, Into the Breach is a turn-based tactical game where you pit your team of three mechs against a whole race of alien bugs. And there’s time travel involved. 

Released in 2018, Into the Breach is considered one of the finest combat strategy games there is. Now, it is coming back with a free new Advanced Edition and a release date for the iOS and Android versions. You can check out the details on the Subset Games website.

On July 19, Into the Breach will gain an Advanced edition, featuring a lot of new things: there will be 40 new weapons, 5 new squads of mechs, new pilots, abilities, missions, enemies, and harder difficulty mode: Unfair. This will be a free update across all platforms. Also included is support for seven languages: (Arabic, Thai, Swedish, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Spanish) as well as new music.

With the release of the Advanced Edition, Into the Breach is also coming to iOS and Android through a Netflix partnership. Anyone with a Netflix subscription can download the game, which will carry the Advanced Edition. All this will drop on July 19.

Finally, Into the Breach is also coming to Nintendo Switch through another partnership with Fangamer. Expect this version to come out later this year. 

Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy game where you control a squad of three mechs, each with a special ability. Your job is to prevent an army of giant insects from destroying a human settlement, represented by buildings. Every turn, you get to see what the enemy plans to do on their turn, allowing you to plan ahead. This and your mech abilities are your only advantage—the bugs outnumber you and will keep spawning in waves till you defeat them all. The game requires a level of strategic planning that’s not for the faint-hearted, and the new Unfair mode will likely push stress levels through the roof.
