Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Shares 2026 Roadmap Details
After officially launching on August 13, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam has begun building its community with its signature 50v50 battles, combining teamwork, strategy, and the challenging terrain of the Vietnam War. While the game currently has a Mixed rating on Steam, with around 60% of reviews being positive, the feedback following launch has given the development team a solid foundation to keep moving forward. With its first roadmap revealed just over a week after release, players now have a clearer picture of what lies ahead for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.
The first roadmap expands Hell Let Loose: Vietnam in multiple ways
According to the roadmap announced by Team17 and Expression Games, Update 1.5 will be the first major content update for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, arriving in September. The update will add the M14 for US Forces and the Type 56 SKS for the NVA, while also introducing the Bell UH-1 Iroquois “Huey” to the game. It will also be the first officially licensed vehicle in Hell Let Loose history, with Bell directly involved in the licensing agreement.
More importantly, the Huey will be more than just a transport vehicle. The development team is also adding radios to the helicopter, allowing the Co-Pilot to play Vietnam War-era music for everyone onboard as well as players on the ground nearby. When multiple Hueys take to the skies with their radios playing, the music will also be synchronised between the helicopters, creating the feeling that the entire battlefield is tuned into the same radio station.
Following Update 1.5, Update 2.0 will expand the battlefield with Khe Sanh, the first new map to be added after launch. This update will also see US Forces expand into the US & Allies Force as ANZAC troops join the fight. The new force will receive three new weapons:
- L1A1 SLR for mid-range combat.
- F1 SMG for close-range engagements.
- L16A1 as another mortar option for mid- to long-range fire support.
Update 3.0 will take players to Rung Sat, a new battlefield featuring swamps and dense jungles. The update will also introduce APCs for both sides, giving infantry additional options for moving across the battlefield. The arsenals will be expanded with:
- MAT-49 and SVD Dragunov for the NVA.
- Stoner 63 and a scoped variant of the M14 for the US & Allies Force.
The arrival of the Stoner 63 will also coincide with the introduction of the Navy SEALs and Green Berets, further expanding the US & Allies Force rather than simply adding more equipment.
Beyond combat content, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is also preparing Battalions V1, a new system designed for clans and organised communities. Players will be able to create persistent groups, track statistics and progress, unlock content, and join servers alongside other members. This direction fits well with a game that has always placed teamwork and coordination at the heart of its experience.
The roadmap also makes it clear that the development team is not focusing solely on new content. Optimisation, bug fixes, stability, image quality, and other QoL improvements will continue across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series through major updates, patches, and hotfixes.
Overall, the first roadmap gives Hell Let Loose: Vietnam a much clearer direction for the future. From the Huey and new weapons to Khe Sanh, Rung Sat, APCs, and Battalions, the game will continue expanding both its battlefields and its community throughout the rest of 2026, while gradually improving the foundation established at launch.
