Warhammer 40K racer and chess roguelike are free on Epic Games Store

Grab free chess roguelike and Warhammer 40K racer from Epic Games right now

The Epic Games Store has wrapped up its mystery giveaway promotion and returned to its regular weekly free game schedule. Replacing last week's Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest, this week's free titles are Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King, both available to claim and keep permanently if added to your library within the next seven days.

Leading the giveaway is Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks, a multiplayer combat racing game developed by Caged Element and released in 2025. Set in the brutal universe of Warhammer 40,000, the game puts players behind the controls of heavily armed Ork vehicles, including buggies, tanks, and aircraft inspired by the iconic tabletop miniatures. Expect fast-paced races, explosive vehicular combat, and chaotic battles across war-ravaged environments.

The game focuses heavily on multiplayer action, featuring several modes that combine racing and combat objectives. Players must either outpace opponents, survive intense firefights, or destroy massive enemy mechs while competing against others. A recent update also introduced cross-platform play between PC and consoles, helping improve matchmaking and expand the player base.

For those looking for a more strategic experience, The Ouroboros King offers a unique blend of chess-inspired tactics and roguelike progression. Players build and customize armies using fantasy-themed chess pieces, then battle enemy forces across procedurally generated maps.

The game expands on traditional chess mechanics by introducing special unit abilities, powerful relics, and game-altering upgrades that allow for creative and sometimes overpowered strategies. Each run presents new opportunities to recruit units, discover synergies, and overcome increasingly difficult encounters.

Both Warhammer 40K: Speed Freeks and The Ouroboros King are free to claim on the Epic Games Store until June 18. Once the promotion ends, a new free game offer will take its place as part of Epic's ongoing weekly giveaway program.
