Claim a sci-fi shoot ’em up and cozy colony sim free on Epic this week

Another weekly giveaway has just gone live on the Epic Games Store, bringing fresh titles for PC players to claim. Replacing last week’s Electrician Simulator, this new offer includes Havendock and Hyper Echelon, both of which can be added to your library permanently if claimed within the next seven days.

Starting with Havendock, this colony sim from YYZ Studio launched last year and focuses on a cozy, laid-back experience. Players are tasked with building a settlement in the middle of the ocean, rescuing castaways and attracting new settlers along the way. Gameplay revolves around gathering resources from drifting debris, constructing farms and facilities, managing tasks, and unlocking new technologies to help your community grow.

The goal is to transform your small outpost into a thriving, advanced society, all while shaping the settlement at your own pace. Its relaxed, sandbox-style design makes it an ideal choice for unwinding.

On the other hand, Hyper Echelon offers a completely different experience. Released in 2021 by GangoGames, this sci-fi shoot-’em-up draws inspiration from classic arcade titles. Players pilot a ship through a campaign spanning 10 worlds, taking down enemies, collecting items, and completing mission objectives.

The game includes features like a wingman system, upgrades, special abilities, and multiple difficulty settings. With fast-paced gameplay, pixel-art visuals, and local co-op support, it’s a solid pick for fans of retro-style shooters.

Both Havendock and Hyper Echelon are free to claim now on the Epic Games Store, and the offer will remain available for one week. After that, a new giveaway will take their place on April 2, with Clone Drone in the Danger Zone already confirmed as the next freebie.
