Fortnite Chapter 2 is up already

The black hole incident has come to an end, and a brand new world is available for the players to enjoy in Fortnite Chapter 2. Downloading the latest update files won't take you much since it's only 16GB on PC, and after that, you should be able to log into the game and start discovering the multitude of new things that this patch is adding. You can learn about many of the new features in the launch trailer, but there is even more information that has been revealed.

Although there have been a lot of speculation and leaks during the last few days, everything is coming into place now. It seems that the black hole has acted as a way of traveling to a new world, and you will be able to explore a new map with thirteen different locations that have a lot of surprises. The names of those locations were leaked earlier, after being obtained through data mining.

In the world of Fortnite Chapter 2, you will be able to perform other activities like fishing, swimming, or even driving motorboats in a variety of masses of water that are spread through the map. A new weapon arsenal is available too, and you will be able to upgrade your weapon of choice using different parts at a workbench. Among other new features, you can now pick up downed teammates and carry them to safety, and even heal them using the bandage bazooka. Cooperative gameplay is at a new level in Fortnite Chapter 2.

This patch also introduces a new experience system that allows you to unlock Battle Pass rewards by completing achievements and earning medals from different activities that include searching chests, eliminating opponents, completing challenges, and more. As usual, the start of a new season comes accompanied by the release of a new Fortnite Battle Pass that is full of rewards of all kinds for you to unlock.

You can also expect to find plenty of new cosmetic options and emotes to customize your characters in Fortnite Chapter 2, and it's quite sure that Epic Games has a lot of novelties and events in store which will be revealed as the season progresses.
