The current deal comes to an end in 2022, and recent reports reveal that FIFA is asking for "more than double" to renew the license. FIFA 22 wouldn't be in danger, but it may become the last installment in the series as we know it if they don't sign up an agreement soon. The negotiation has been going on for a while, and now it's stalled. EA Sports has offered more money and wanted rights to explore additional ways of getting revenue, like digital products or tournaments, but it seems that FIFA would want to keep these rights.
