EA just teased 4 new games for 2023 including a “major IP”
During their posting for the Q4 FY 2022 earnings, EA has declared four planned games for the coming year. They have not named these games, other than stating they are “a major IP, a partner title, a remake, and a sports title.” Given that these games are due for the last quarter of this financial year, we’re looking at a release anywhere from January 1 to April 1, which is not too long a wait given we don’t even know what these titles are.
That said, EA holds many titles that would be fun to speculate about. For example, the “major IP” referred to may be a new Star Wars game, perhaps a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order. Or perhaps it’s Mass Effect 4, or a new Dragon Age sequel, or something else entirely. At the moment, fans are abuzz with the rumors that the new Mass Effect will somehow bring back Commander Shepard, so if Mass Effect 4 is coming out next year, we’ll know that much sooner.

Apart from the major IP, EA also has several partnerships that could fit the bill. They have recently announced one with Middle Earth Enterprises, which has led to the mobile free-to-play game The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth. This has been mentioned in the report, however, so the partner title could be something new.
As for the remake, the most likely candidate is Dead Space, which is generating buzz right now for its enhanced graphics, incredible sound design, and from the looks of the gameplay, enough blood and gore to make any horror fan salivate.
The sports title is likely to be FIFA. Unfortunately, EA and FIFA have terminated their business relationship, ending when the Women’s World Cup next summer is completed. EA will still push through with its 2023 FIFA game, though.
That’s a lot of speculation, but we’ll know more as 2022 draws to a close. If you want to get in early, pick up a Dead Space PC key from our comparator.
