Edge of Memories Release Date Confirmed for November 5, 2026

After spending months with only a broad 2026 release window, Edge of Memories finally has a firm launch date. Nacon has confirmed that the action-JRPG will officially release on November 5, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The announcement arrived alongside a new Release Date Trailer during Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026, bringing Midgar Studio's project into its final stretch before launch.

Edge of Memories Enters Its Final Stretch Before Launch

Rather than reintroducing everything about Edge of Memories, the new Release Date Trailer mainly brings Eline and her companions back into the fight against the Corrosion before confirming the launch date. One notable addition is the first showcase of the game's Japanese voice acting, featuring performers who have previously appeared in titles and series such as NieR Replicant, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Frieren.

Alongside the release date announcement, pre-orders have also opened on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who pre-order will receive the Legacy Costume Pack, while the Digital Deluxe Edition provides 48-hour early access, allowing players to start on November 3. This edition also includes the Nekaroo Costume Pack, French History Costume Pack, digital artbook, and digital soundtrack.

Things will work a little differently on PC. Midgar has confirmed that Edge of Memories will not be available for pre-order on Steam. Instead, PC players who purchase the game during a limited period after launch will still receive the Legacy Costume Pack, which includes outfits inspired by Edge of Eternity for Ysoris and Nekaroo.

The latest announcement also shows that the launch version is continuing to benefit from feedback gathered during the Steam Next Fest demo in June. The team says it has focused on refining the core gameplay, fixing bugs, and adding quality-of-life improvements, including a motion blur option and the ability to disable subtitles. Several balance values have also been adjusted based on players' hands-on experience with the demo.

The confirmed release date carries additional significance because the future of the project had become uncertain after Midgar Studio was ordered into liquidation by a court in July 2026 after failing to find a buyer. At the time, Nacon had not clarified what this would mean for Edge of Memories. The publisher's decision to now announce a specific release date, open pre-orders, and continue promoting the game is the clearest official indication yet that its launch plans are still moving forward.
