EA games are back on Steam
At the time the news made a lot of noise. In 2011 Electronic Arts announced that it was leaving Steam to create its own platform which we all know today, Origin. If the case was so commented, it was mainly because of the withdrawal of Crysis 2 from Valve's platform, something that displeased a lot of players.
The rumors about a new rapprochement between EA and Valve have been circulating for a while, and they have culminated with the announcement of the return of EA games on Steam. Well, it's now done, or almost done, because the news was confirmed yesterday. Ben Walke, Global Community Lead for Dice and EA, revealed it on Twitter.
Some big news for you. EA Games are coming back to Steam and it starts with #JediFallenOrder. More games are on the way, along with EA Access. pic.twitter.com/EWjci6RYmN

We also got to know through this tweet that the first game of EA's catalog to join Steam will be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which will be released on November 15th. The game already has its own page on Valve's platform, and pre-orders are open. Other titles will soon take the same path, EA announces The Sims 4 and Unravel Two as "coming in the following months" and for 2020, Apex Legends, Battlefield V and FIFA 20, among others. The EA Access service launched in 2014 will also be available on Steam, while Origin Access Premier will remain exclusive to Origin.
Following this announcement, many players have wondered whether it would be possible to migrate its Origin games to Steam. It will not be the case, so you must keep Origin if you already have games on the platform. On the other hand, EA declared that the cross-platform was in progress and that it will be possible to play with your friends, whatever your platform is.
