Dispatch season 2 could happen, says developer
AdHoc Studio has officially acknowledged the growing fan demand for a second season of Dispatch, saying the team will “have to at least think about it” following the game’s massive critical and commercial success. While no plans have been confirmed, the developer’s comments are the clearest sign yet that more Dispatch could be in the cards.
AdHoc Studio Considers a Second Season of Dispatch
In a recent episode of The Friends Per Second podcast, AdHoc Studio co-founder and Chief Creative Officer Pierre Shorette discussed the team’s reaction to Dispatch’s success since its October 2025 launch.
“We’re gonna have to at least think about Season 2 now,” Shorette said, responding directly to the game’s million-plus sales milestone and overwhelmingly positive reception.
The statement has ignited fresh excitement among fans, many of whom had been calling for a continuation even before the release of the game’s final two episodes, scheduled for November 12. While Shorette stopped short of confirming that a second season is in development, his comments suggest the studio is open to returning to the Dispatch universe in the future.
Released episodically, Dispatch quickly became one of the year’s most surprising hits, blending cinematic storytelling with an inventive superhero workplace comedy setting. The game’s combination of humor, sharp writing, and moral decision-making resonated with fans and critics alike—solidifying AdHoc Studio’s reputation as a modern torchbearer for the Telltale-style narrative adventure.
Even with the studio currently developing a separate project set in Critical Role’s Exandria, the success of Dispatch appears to have shifted priorities. As Shorette hinted, Season 2 isn’t a guarantee yet, but it’s now part of the studio’s discussions. Given the time required for narrative games of this scale, fans shouldn’t expect a follow-up anytime soon—but AdHoc seems well aware of just how much players want one.
Dispatch currently holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, proving that narrative-driven adventures are far from fading away.
