Dead Island 2 will launch sooner than expected

It's kind of ironic that the release of a game that has been in developement for such a long time is now moved forward. Dead Island 2 is one of the most anticipated zombie-killing games of 2023, and it's developement has been like a ride on a rollercoaster. The initial announcement was followed by plenty of uncertainty and several changes of developer studio. The situation got to a point where nobody was sure if the sequel to the iconic Dead Island would ever be released. When Dambuster Studios presented the game a few months ago many players couldn't believe that they would be playing Dead Island 2 anytime soon, but it seems that the game will be ready nine years after the project was announced.

A new release date

The release of Dead Island 2 was scheduled for April 28. It was originally scheduled for February, but Deep Silver delayed it a few weeks. Quite surprisingly, as it is something that rarely happens in the world of video games, the release date has been mobed forward by a week, and the game will launch now on April 21. 

The first Dead Island has a massive fan base that has been waiting to play its sequel for a long time. Dead Island 2 aims to make them happy with new gameplay mechanics, a huge variety of zombies, the most advanced dismemberment system seen in any video game, and the possibility of gaining spectacular powers due to your immunity to the deadly infection that has turned LA in a nightmarish place.
