Bodycam is out right now, and it's more than a competitive shooter
Just a few days ago, the comparative shooter game Bodycam was released in Early Access. The game quickly took the internet by storm, with many streamers playing or reacting to it. Bodycam rapidly won players' hearts with its stunning, eerily realistic graphics and unique, thrilling gameplay that no other game can match.
Bodycam is the first ultra-realistic multiplayer, first-person shooter, created by two French developers at Reissad Studio. The game quickly gained attention after its first announcement in early 2024, reaching 1 million wishlists on Steam in just a few months. After two rounds of playtesting, Bodycam finally launched in Early Access.
Bodycam utilizes the latest technologies of the next-gen game engine Unreal Engine 5 to create highly detailed environments. It incorporates innovative video effects, such as image degradation and chromatic aberration through a fish-eye lens, to mimic the perspective of a bodycam. This ultra-realistic approach makes it feel like you're watching found footage rather than playing a game, giving it an almost survival horror-like quality.
The developers have focused on realism, making movement and shooting through a bodycam view distinctly different from typical FPS controls. Adapting to these mechanics is essential for success in the various game modes. In addition to the standard Deathmatches and Team Deathmatches, a new mode called Body Bomb offers a unique twist on Search and Destroy, challenging your team's cooperation and communication.
A common misconception is that some people confuse Bodycam with Unrecord, another creepily realistic-looking bodycam shooter that isn't out yet. The biggest difference between the games is that Unrecord is single-player while Bodycam is multiplayer, and Unrecord looks slightly better.
Bodycam is available right now in Early Access on Steam. Make sure you don't miss out on this unique first-person shooting experience by using our price comparison tool to get Bodycam at the best price.
