Beholder is an original game that is based on a concept that we usually tend to ignore in our daily lives: we are kind of under constant surveillance. This indie adventure game with strategy elements takes it to the extreme by putting you in the shoes of quite a peculiar apartment manager. Beholder takes place in a dystopian world, in a country under a totalitarian regime that controls the life of its citizens. You have been instated as the landlord of an apartment building, and your job is to make the place comfortable for them. But there is a darker side of your job that your tenants do not know about: you also spy on them for the government.

In Beholder, you have to eavesdrop on their conversations, search their belongings for things to incriminate them, and secretly report anyone that can be deemed a threat to the regime. At least, that is what you are supposed to do. But your own life is complex, and your family suffers under the rule of the regime too. It's up to you to decide how to face every situation. Will you report any potential subversive activist in order to survive, blackmail them, or maybe give them a chance to make amends? Any choice that you make in Beholder is important, and your life depends on it.
