Assassin's Creed Shadows may get more challenging
Assasin's Creed Shadows has saved Ubisoft from imminent doom due to the good figures achieved by the game and the quality of the experience it offers. A majority of the series' fans are quite satisfied with the state of the game and the mysterious and tumultuous lands of feudal Japan are now their favourite playground. However, there is room for improvement, and it seems that the game's developers are aware of it. Ubisoft is keeping track of player feedback and it's ready to use that information to provide the fans of Assassin's Creed Shadows with whatever they want.
Harder than ever
In a recent interview with GamesRadar, Assassin's Creed Shadows creative director Jonathon Dumont revealed that the development team may make the game more challenging for some players with the addition of a new difficulty mode. If you already joined Yasuke and Naoe, and you find Hard difficulty mode too easy, this is good news for you. However, in the same interview, Dumont confirmed that the team is now more focused on fixing specific bugs and monitoring players' experiences in order to improve the game. We may have to wait sometime until we see the new mode added to the game.
"Obviously, we can't do everything, but there are things that we're going to be actioning on, and just for the next updates, there are quite a bit of bug fixes and little feature enhancement stuff that is coming in. I can't just make a list. There's quite a bit of it. So the team is always working to improve the game, and hopefully, people will be able to see the difference when they're playing Shadows in the upcoming months."
The development team should also be quite busy with the first DLC for Assassin's Creed Shadows, Claws of Awaji, which should arrive sometime in the near future. The effort the studio put into making the game is definitely paying off and players can enjoy an intense and immersive experience that feels like a true Assassin's Creed game, even though the game adds plenty of novelties to the franchise.
Whether you are an Assassin's Creed fan or not, the game is worth a look if you want to dive into a unique adventure set in feudal Japan with the distinct flavour of the series.
