Amazon massively bans cheaters in New World

Amazon Games is taking New World quite seriously. They are set on fixing in-game bugs and have launched a test server to get feedback about upcoming content from the players in order to improve the gameplay experience, but they are also addressing other serious problems that could potentially ruin the economy in the game. It's well known that many New World players used certain gold-duping exploits to obtain massive amounts of money in the game. Such a huge influx of money entering the game so fast could potentially ruin the economy in the game, but the developer has finally got its hands dirty by permanently banning over 1600 players. The announcement has been made on a blog post where the developers also confirm that their items have been removed from the economy and their trade post listings are canceled, eliminating any further impact that these may cause.

"We took decisive action against obvious bad actors with a first pass on November 2nd, permanently banning accounts of the most egregious offenders which eliminated over 80% of duped Coin and item value from the economy."

"We were able to remove 98% of remaining duped items and Coin in the game. The small amount of duped items that remain were a result of players who stumbled upon the duping issue but did not take exploitive action, and will not be banned."

A number of problems have accompanied New World since it was released, but Amazon Games has managed to get most of them and their consequences under control. Some of them have been a concern for the players, but the game population is finally stabilizing, and it seems that the developers are now more worried about expanding the game with new features rather than extinguishing all the fires that appeared.
