The Sims 4: June update is available!

In less than 24 hours now the next expansion pack for The Sims 4 will be released. But it's not the only news around The Sims. A huge update was released yesterday for the base game and it adds a number of features that will surely please all The Sims 4 players.

The first of these is the return of the ladders, which is a major addition for all builders, especially for Mini Houses. A type of ladder in several colors is available via the update, and the Eco Lifestyle pack adds another model. Also, you can now freely place doors and windows without them snapping to the grid by using the alt key. Some construction mode objects, such as wallpapers, floors, or barriers can now have an impact on gameplay by providing an environment bonus, for example, but can also have an impact on your bills.

Another of the features included in this update is the invoice management, which is becoming more precise, and now you have access to a detailed statement of what you pay. The value of the objects is taken into account, but also your consumption of electricity and water. With The Sims 4 - Eco Lifestyle you can also sell these resources to reduce your bills. If you never pay them, a well-known character will come to visit you. The ushers are back in the base game and are no longer reserved for owners of Discover University.

The firefighters have also been added in this update. They can come to extinguish the fires, and you can call them through the fire alarm or via phone, but make sure you don't make them move without a very good reason.

Finally, one of the major changes, which is related to the release The Sims 4 - Eco Lifestyle, is about the off-grid functionality. You can now get bonuses by eating harvested products and collecting water in various places. The off-grid feature of a site will have an impact on the invoices and on the mood of your sims. Other features have been added for the off-network aspect, such as a new category in the catalog to filter the objects that work with this trait.
