Dive into the vibrant, neo-Renaissance city of Neo-Talis with Dice Gambit, a tactical turn-based RPG that blends strategic depth with a whimsical dice-rolling system. As the scion of a debt-ridden noble family, you lead a customizable clan of Inquisitors tasked with purging the city of Chromatic monsters—colorful, mischievous blobs spawning from mysterious portals. Your journey intertwines with the political machinations of three ruling families, each vying for power, as you navigate missions, forge alliances, and uncover the city’s hidden truths, occasionally pausing to deliver ice cream for eccentric nobles.

The gameplay hinges on a unique dice-based mechanic, where each roll determines your actions—movement, attacks, defense, or special abilities—on hex-grid battlefields. With over 200 powers across diverse classes like Berserker or Sniper, you craft synergistic builds, combining abilities like terrain-igniting attacks or armor-stacking buffs. Strategic depth comes from managing limited rerolls and Chroma dice, which act as wildcards but empower enemies if overused. Outside combat, shape your family’s legacy through marriages and heirs, each inheriting traits and visuals, while missions offer branching paths with combat, recovery, or wealth nodes.

The game’s painterly art style, bursting with bright colors and exaggerated character designs, pairs with a lively R&B and synthwave soundtrack to create a playful yet immersive vibe. Despite a light narrative and occasional repetitive enemies, the robust class system, customizable difficulty modifiers, and Steam Workshop support ensure endless replayability. Dice Gambit is a delightful, strategy-packed adventure for tactical RPG fans, offering a fresh take on turn-based combat and family management.
