Rustler is a singular game in which you can experience the life of a medieval thug from a rather humoristic point of view. This open-world action game puts you in the shoes of Guy, a poor peasant in the Middle Ages who accidentally acquires an invitation to participate in The Grand Tournament and decides to do whatever it takes to win it. As a lowborn, Guy won't be looked at with good eyes by the Knights. Lacking any kind of financial support to get an armor or a horse to win the tournament, you will have to resort to unconventional means that could be considered not legit at all.

In this top-down action game, you will have to do the weirdest things and you will find yourself trying to complete a wide variety of mini-games in order to achieve your goals and wreak havoc. Rustler is full of pop culture references that although may not be historically accurate, definitely make the game much more fun.

With an absurd story, challenging combat, and lots of inappropriate activities to engage in, Rustler is a good way of having a lot of fun while creating mayhem and destruction in the middle ages without having to worry too much about the consequences.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the same wrestler for both the 'Story Mode' and 'Exhibition Mode' simultaneously, and will progress in one mode affect the other?
No, wrestlers are distinct between game modes. Progress and customization in 'Story Mode' are exclusive to that mode, and do not carry over to 'Exhibition Mode', and vice versa.
If I choose to 'Retire' a wrestler in 'Story Mode', can I ever use that specific character again, or is the character permanently removed from my roster?
Retiring a wrestler in 'Story Mode' permanently removes them from your active roster in that specific save file. You would need to start a new 'Story Mode' campaign or use them in 'Exhibition Mode' to play with that wrestler again.
How does the 'Loyalty' stat of a wrestler influence the gameplay, and what are the specific consequences of a wrestler having very high or very low loyalty?
Loyalty affects a wrestler's willingness to perform certain actions during matches and their likelihood of staying with your promotion in 'Story Mode'. High loyalty increases their reliability, while low loyalty can lead to walkouts or betrayals during key matches.
Are there any limitations or requirements for creating custom wrestling moves, and can these moves be used across different game modes?
Custom move creation has limitations, typically involving animation slot constraints and certain thematic restrictions. Custom moves are generally usable in all game modes, but their availability may depend on roster selection or mode-specific rules.
Does the 'Fatigue' mechanic impact a wrestler's performance in a single match, or is it more of a long-term stat affecting their availability across multiple events?
Fatigue impacts both. In a single match, higher fatigue reduces a wrestler's stamina and effectiveness. Over time, accumulated fatigue affects their injury risk and availability for subsequent matches.
Can I edit the attributes, move sets, or appearance of wrestlers that are part of the core game roster, and if so, does this affect their behavior in 'Story Mode' cutscenes?
Yes, you can edit core roster wrestlers. Edits to attributes and move sets will reflect in gameplay. Appearance edits usually reflect in gameplay, but they may or may not be applied to story cutscenes.
What is the function of the 'Popularity' stat for a wrestler, and how does it relate to the financial success of my promotion in 'Story Mode'?
Popularity determines a wrestler's drawing power, influencing ticket sales, merchandise revenue, and the overall perception of your promotion. Higher popularity generally leads to greater financial gains.
How does the 'Match Rating' system work, and what factors contribute to a high or low match rating?
Match ratings are calculated based on various factors, including match pacing, move variety, crowd engagement, and the execution of key spots. More dynamic and well-structured matches receive higher ratings.
Are there any risks associated with performing high-risk moves, and do injuries sustained during a match have lasting consequences?
Yes, high-risk moves carry a higher chance of injury. Injuries can range in severity, from temporary performance dips to extended absences from the ring, especially in 'Story Mode'.
Can I form tag teams or factions, and if so, how do these alliances impact the gameplay and 'Story Mode' narrative?
Yes, you can form tag teams and factions. These alliances influence match outcomes, crowd reactions, and the unfolding storylines in 'Story Mode', providing strategic advantages or creating compelling narrative arcs.
