Death Rally is an action-packed car combat game developed by Remedy Entertainment and released for Microsoft Windows in 1996. The player can choose either a male or female suite of characters, each with their own personalities and vehicles, to take part in a series of races against opponents from around the world.
The objective of Death Rally is to complete various racing challenges while taking out enemies along the way. Races are divided into tracks that require players to drive through checkpoints in order to unlock new ones. As you progress throughout the game, more tracks become available - including some very challenging offroad courses.
Players must make wise use of weapons such as machine guns, bazookas, and landmines during these death rallies if they want to survive; otherwise, they will have no chance of winning (or even finishing) them. In addition to competing against other racers, Death Rally includes modifiers that add unique elements like additional cars on track or fog which can be used strategically depending on your play style. The environments range from jungles, deserts, and caves - all based on real-life locations across Europe - giving this classic top-down racer an authentic feel every time you fire it up.
