It could probably be agreed that The Witcher series is one of the greatest RPG franchises of all time, and with The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt, you've likely experience just how vast and grand the series has gotten. But just because you've finished the game doesn't absolutely imply that the adventure is over. No, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - Expansion Pass will prove just how wrong that assumption is. For in this expansion pass there is the chance to experience two massive DLC packs that'll give you vastly more hours of gameplay. Once again you'll play as Geralt, and in Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine you'll find there's many more journeys and quests to complete. In Hearts of Stone you'll travel to Oxenfurt in order to complete a contract for the Man of Glass, but you quickly realize that not everything is as it seems, and there's a deep mystery going on that'll need to be solved, but in a particular way. Be cunning, be strong, and try and get out alive. Then, in Blood and Wine, you'll travel to the never-seen-before land of Touissant. A place that has never seen battle, or war, or apparent hardship, but this is The Witcher, you know something is wrong, and indeed it is. There's a dark secret lying underneath the carefree and jolly folks of this land, and you'll need to both discover it, and survive it. As you can see, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - Expansion Pass is a perfect extension of a grand RPG adventure, and one that's begging you to try it.

It is certainly possible to buy it, but as of now (June 29, 2015), no paid DLC has been released yet. I even think the first one will come when the free ones are finished. Right now, we're at 10/16 at a rate of 2 per week so at a guess, we can imagine the first paid DLC coming in late July/early August. Hopefully I'm wrong (because I'm getting to the end and the free DLC is nice but a bit short).

For those who already have it: the extension is worth its price? or at least the cost?
