ZeroSpace arrives on Steam Early Access with Epic RTS Action

ZeroSpace is the New Sci-Fi RTS every strategy fan should watch

If you've been waiting for a next-gen strategy title that doesn't feel like a total snooze-fest, your patience just paid off. ZeroSpace, the massive new hybrid sci-fi RTS and RPG from Starlance Studios and Ironward, has officially landed in Steam Early Access. If you miss the legendary golden era of StarCraft II or always wished Mass Effect let you deploy nuclear strikes from orbit, this is absolute hype.

So, what’s the big deal? ZeroSpace breaks the standard real-time strategy mold by mashing together classic base-building combat with heavy narrative RPG mechanics. You play as Aster, commander of The Protectorate—a heavy-duty military force desperately trying to stop humanity’s deep-space network from going dark over a missing resource called flux. Between brutal tactical battles, you get actual RPG freedom: crew interactions, cinematic cutscenes, and dialogue choices that shape the fate of the entire Orion sector.

Ready to Command

Forget about commanding boring, reskinned human troops, because the faction roster here brings serious variety across 90-plus unique units and heroes. The Protectorate relies on heavy mech divisions and veteran shock troopers, while The Grell play like creepy alien plants, spreading biomass across the map to spawn acid-spitting monstrosities. Meanwhile, The Legion of Truth floods the field with endless waves of fanatical thralls backed up by shape-shifting Terror Tanks, and The Xol brings advanced, autonomous sentient robots. On top of these main factions, you can make use of specialized mercenary groups and a deep hero system to completely customize your buildcraft.

Whether you are a hyper-competitive ladder climber or just want to chill with friends playing against the AI, there is plenty to dig into on day one. The Early Access release comes loaded with 13 story campaign missions, 10 co-op missions featuring procedurally generated objectives, and full skirmish modes supporting up to 4v4 matches with eight AI difficulty levels. There is even a persistent Galaxy War map where your victories help your faction claim real-time territory in a shared online universe.

The developers plan to keep ZeroSpace in Early Access for roughly a year, continuously adding new missions, factions, and maps based on community feedback. If you want to jump into the action early and secure your key, check out the best deals for ZeroSpace to grab your copy at the best price and start dominating the Orion sector today.

I’m all about motorcycles, retro gaming, and the golden handheld era of the PSP and PS Vita. I love the thrill of the ride just as much as the nostalgia of classic games. I believe games can bring people together, spark creativity, and make the world a little brighter—one adventure at a time.

También me da un poco de miedo tanta ambición. Cuando un juego intenta ser RTS, RPG, guerra persistente y experiencia narrativa a la vez, a veces acaba brillando en ideas pero flojeando en ejecución.
I'm also a little scared of so much ambition. When a game tries to be an RTS, RPG, persistent war, and narrative experience all at once, it sometimes ends up shining in ideas but faltering in execution.

Visualmente y por temática me parece potentísimo: naves nodriza, especies alienígenas, héroes y guerras planetarias. Es el tipo de juego que, solo por concepto, ya te invita a seguirle la pista.
Visually and thematically, it seems incredibly powerful to me: motherships, alien species, heroes, and planetary wars. It's the kind of game that, just by concept, already makes you want to keep an eye on it.

13 campaign missions plus a full co-op mode and skirmish support is more than most Early Access RTS games launch with. The Galactic War mode where wins affect a shared map is an interesting idea that adds long-term purpose to matches, and between the campaign choices and the faction variety there is enough here to keep RTS fans busy.
