Ubisoft discreetly announces The Division 3

Ubisoft has surprised us with the announcement of The Division 3 in a press release regarding a completely different matter. In fact, the original announcement reads that Julian Gerighty has been appointed the new executive producer of Tom Clancy's The Division brand. The name may ring a bell to all fans of Star Wars as he is the creative director in charge of Star Wars Outlaws, the upcoming action-adventure game set in the universe created by George Lucas and the first major game to be released outside of Electronic Arts' influence for the first time in many years.

Big games are incoming!

The same press release confirms that Massive Entertainment, the studio also in charge of releasing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora very soon, is actively building a team for The Division 3.

Although the announcement of a future release of Tom Clancy's The Division 3 may not come as a surprise for the fans of the series, it comes at a moment when Ubisoft seems to be immersed in many ambitious projects. The success of Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Star Wars Outlaws will probably impact the development of other future projects. Ubisoft recently canceled some games in development to focus on their flagships as the results of games like Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope were not as good as they expected.

Fortunately, The Division series has a sizeable base of fans who have enjoyed playing Tom Clancy's The Division 2, and the future does not look grim for a new installment in the series.
