Those of you who grew up in the '90s are sure to know about Tony Hawk. Although his career as a professional skater began in the 1980s, it reached its peak in the late 1990s when he was the first to perform a 900. In 1999 Tony Hawk even got his own video game, Tony Hawk's Skateboarding, which was released at the time on Playstation, and the following year on Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast. The game also had versions on N-Gage and Game Boy Color. It was a huge hit among gamers and it became the first installment in a long series that includes more than 15 games to date.

The most recent, dubbed Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 and released on September 4, 2020, is a remake of the first two games in the series combined into one. If you haven't played it yet, you can do it for free right now and through January 4 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S, just by visiting the Microsoft Store.

The game brings back everything that made the original games so successful, with updated graphics and controls. In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, you will find the skaters in the original roster, including Tony Hawk, Andrew Reynolds, or Chad Muska, but also new ones that have never appeared before, like Nyjah Huston, Aori Nishimura, and even Riley Hawk, who is no other than Tony Hawk's son. The original music is also back in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, along with iconic locations.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 brings nostalgia to everyone who played the original games, but you don't need to know them to enjoy the remake. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 has been a big hit, winning the Best Sports Game of 2020 in The Game Awards.
