This Week's Video Game Releases - November 2025 (Week 47)

Gamers are in for a packed release window as publishers roll out an unusually large slate of titles across genres during the week of November 17–23, 2025. From family-friendly favorites to tactical strategy, horror, and ambitious indie creations, this week delivers a diverse launch lineup that will allow players to find something they like.

November 17 - 23 releases

The releases begin on November 18 with several highly anticipated titles. SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide brings the beloved underwater icon back into the spotlight with a new platforming adventure featuring massive sea creatures and a story that expands the animated series' lore. Joining it is Commandos: Origins – Shadows over Crete, which continues the revival of the classic tactics franchise by dropping players into covert operations set against the backdrop of wartime Crete. The day also sees the debut of Rune Ark, a game that blends atmospheric exploration with puzzle-driven storytelling. Indie RPG enthusiasts can look forward to Kingdoms of the Dump, a retro-inspired adventure set in a world built entirely from discarded trash, while Morsels offers a quieter, narrative-focused experience centered around emotional themes and culinary creativity.

On November 19, the schedule shifts toward action, simulation, and strategy. Neon Inferno invites players into a high-speed cyberpunk battleground filled with neon-lit firefights and futuristic intrigue. Simulation fans will receive new content through the Police Simulator: Patrol Officers – Contraband Expansion, which deepens investigative gameplay by expanding contraband detection mechanics. One of the day's most notable releases is Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the sequel to the popular blend of shopkeeping and dungeon crawling, which introduces new roguelite systems and a richer narrative. Rounding out the day are Night of the Slayers, a dark fantasy action game pitting players against supernatural threats, and Demonschool, a stylistic tactical RPG that blends academy life with demon-hunting missions.

The momentum continues on November 20, which brings a mix of remasters, action titles, and survival horror. Monsters Are Coming! Rock & Road merges vehicle-based gameplay with monster battles in an arcade-style setting. Longtime fans of classic shooters will appreciate Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster, which revisits the Western-themed original with modern enhancements. Horror fans can look to Kriophobia, a tense survival experience set in a remote frozen landscape, emphasizing atmospheric storytelling and environmental puzzles. Also arriving that day are Samurai Academy: Paws of Fury, a lighthearted action game starring animal warriors in training, Flashpoint Campaigns: Cold War, a detailed strategy title exploring alternate Cold War scenarios, and Cleared Hot, a tactical air-combat simulation focused on precision, realism, and mission planning.

The releases of this week conclude on November 21 with three notable releases. Astroneer: Megatech expands the popular space-exploration sandbox with advanced tools, new technologies, and improved building options for creative players. Strategy fans will also be treated to Hearts of Iron IV: No Compromise, No Surrender, an expansion that amplifies political depth and resistance dynamics within the World War II grand strategy framework. Finally, horror enthusiasts can dive into Terrifier: The ARTcade Game, an arcade-style adaptation of the cult horror series known for its over-the-top frights and stylized brutality.

After several weeks packed with big AAA releases and hyped games, the panorama offers players some respite and allows them to focus on less hyped games, providing an opportunity to discover hidden jewels. Whether players are seeking nostalgia, adrenaline, strategy, or story-driven adventures, this week's lineup offers something for nearly every type of gamer.
