Celestial Church Expansion Brings New Depth to Songs of Silence

Songs of Silence's new paid DLC: Celestial Church Expansion

Released on the 16th of December 2025, Songs of Silence's brand new paid DLC, Celestial Church Expansion, has tons of new features, factions, and mechanics, as well as cards. Let's dive into the DLC content.

Is the Celestial Church Worth It? Everything New in the First Major Expansion

The paid DLC includes a new narrative campaign, with a new story arc, set a decade after the original "crusade" storyline, when the silence spread and the faith faltered. The Celestial Church is forced to send Inquisitors (a new hero class) to Sonnan in order to reclaim control by force. Players will act as an Inquisitor arriving in Graniva who becomes embroiled in hunting for heritic prophets. With 6 hrs+ of single player content, 4 new campaign chapters featuring fully voiced characters and new lore, the paid DLC promised to bring you joy.

The paid DLC included a new faction: The Celestial Church, which is fully playable in both campaign and skirmish/multiplayer modes. The DLC also features a "Mobile Capital" mechanic, which is unlike any other faction. The Celestial Church's capital is represented as "The Procession."  The "Mobile Capital" mechanic acts as your starting army and a mobile base of operations.

New hero classes are also included in this paid DLC: Introducing Inquisitors (power-craving enforcers focusing on eradicating heresy) and Truthweavers (cunning agents who work in the shadows to maintain obedience). The DLC also included brand-new additions totaling 8 units: Skirilith, Avowed, Esquires, Kanonists, and Exarkist, along with "Illumine" variants for Archers, Hounds, and Exhorters.

New mechanics and cards are also included in the Celestial Church Expansion, which consists of 5 strategy cards (Purge, Venom Whispers, and Illumine Veil), 2 new building upgrades (Confession Tower and Purge), 5 battle cards (Authority, Serpentine Torrent, Silent Embrace, Illumine Flight, and Illumine Inferno), and 4 unit perks (Preacher, Heretic, Restoration, and Taunt).

Owners of the Celestial Church Expansion can still play against people who do not own it; the Celestial Church faction will not be walled off from the multiplayer pool.
