Scorn gets a new release date

Even though very limited footage about Scorn has been revealed to date, Ebb Software's upcoming horror video game has managed to impress quite a few players. The unique look of the creatures and scenarios in Scorn is inspired by the work of H. R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński, a couple of renowned artists whose creations can be considered as unsettling as fascinating. The fans of Ridley Scott's horror film from 1979, Alien, will instantly find similarities in the biomechanical look that everything has in the game. This Alien-like feeling also extends to the mechanics in this horror first-person shooter. Everything you do in the game, from interacting with any device to recharging and shooting your weapons, feels strange and intuitive.

It's been seven years already since the first images of Scorn were shown, and we expected to be able to play the game this year. Unfortunately, Ebb Software revealed that they would need more time to work on the game not too long ago and postponed the release for 2022. The good news is that the developer has updated the game's Kickstarter page with a statement that reveals that Scorn is coming in October 2022.

"We want to ensure that Scorn is the best game it can be. Mysterious, deliciously dark, and oozing with atmosphere (emphasis on the ooze). With that being said, the game will officially be launching in October 2022. This additional time will allow the team to make sure the vision for Scorn comes to life in all its spine-chilling, nightmarish glory. We know that this means a longer wait, especially for our fantastic Kickstarter community, who have been with us since the very beginning. Still, we're committed to making Scorn the best experience possible for our players and fans".
