Rogue Legacy is free on PC ahead of its sequel's launch

Cellar Door Games has finally confirmed the release date for Rogue Legacy 2, the sequel to the acclaimed platformer. In the original Rogue Legacy you explore randomly generated dungeons and fight against powerful bosses. You can choose one of three descendants to continue your legacy when you die. Each of them has different traits that have a direct impact on the gameplay; therefore, you have to adapt to the new character every time you die. Of course, there are some permanent unlocks that will make your life easier. You unlock these by spending the gold you earn during your adventures, and they are passed on to your heirs.

Overall, Rogue Legacy is quite a fun 2D platformer with innovative mechanics, and you can get it for free on PC this week. You just need to visit Epic Games Store to claim your free copy. If you like the game, you should take a look at the Rogue Legacy 2 video below, which serves as an announcement for its release date.
