RoboCop is back in a new Unfinished Business new gameplay trailer

Old Detroit’s favorite law enforcer is back on patrol—this time, he’s taking justice to new heights. IGN has just released an exclusive gameplay preview of Unfinished Business, the upcoming expansion for RoboCop: Rogue City, and it’s everything fans could’ve hoped for: brutal, brooding, and unmistakably metallic.

Surrender or there will be trouble

The new footage throws players headfirst into the OmniTower, a towering residential complex that's gone from luxury housing to warzone. Once a gleaming symbol of Omni Consumer Products’ gentrification push, the tower is now under the iron grip of a well-armed mercenary faction. RoboCop, never one to back down from a challenge (or a morally ambiguous corporate directive), is sent in to clean house—floor by floor.

The gameplay opens with RoboCop confronting swarms of hostile mercenaries, making use of his signature Auto-9 to deliver precise, devastating justice. The expansion doesn’t just lean into firepower—it sharpens it. The footage also highlights new mechanics: strategic breach points, interactive mounted weapons, and enhanced scanning tools that allow RoboCop to perform ricochet attacks, collect criminal evidence, and more. It seems to be a tighter, more tactical experience, and the level design introduces a fresh sense of urgency to every encounter. Also, RoboCop melee capabilities have been enhanced and he is able to perform devastatng takedowns to destroy enemies that get too close.

Unfinished Business will also offer new opportunities to dive into Alex Murphy's story. As shown in the video, some flashback missions will rereate fragments of Alex's past, although we don't know what kind of connection it has with the events happening at the OmniTower in the present. Long-time fans will appreciate the return of murky corporate politics layered with the game’s signature satire of privatized policing.

Robocop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is slated for a July 17, 2025 launch, and if this footage is anything to go by, it’s not just a side story—it’s a mission statement. RoboCop may be bound by his prime directives, but in OmniTower, there’s only one rule: dead or alive, they’re coming with him.
