Pulsar launches eS Xlite with new XS2 optical sensor and 8KHz polling

Pulsar’s new eS Xlite mouse upgrades its shape, sensor, and wireless speed

Pulsar Gaming Gears and VAXEE Corporation have officially launched the Pulsar eS Xlite, a new esports mouse developed through an exclusive partnership between the two companies. Designed for competitive players who prioritize precision, comfort, and responsiveness, the mouse combines an updated ergonomic shape with high-end tracking hardware and an 8,000Hz polling rate.

Unlike a limited-run product, the eS Xlite is entering regular production, with Pulsar aiming to make its premium esports equipment widely available. The mouse is priced at $179.95 / €179.99 (approximately £150) and is available starting today.

The eS Xlite retains the ergonomic foundation of the original Xlite but introduces several changes to improve grip stability and long-session comfort. Its narrower body supports a more agile grip, while the raised rear and rearward-shifted center of gravity provide better palm support. Pulsar says this design encourages a more natural wrist position, helping reduce strain during extended gaming sessions. The sensor has also been moved forward to better align with the index and middle fingers for consistent horizontal tracking.

Under the hood, the mouse uses Pulsar's XS2 sensor, capable of reaching 42,000 DPI, 800 IPS tracking speed, and 70G acceleration. It supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, while Pulsar's optical switches are designed to improve longevity and prevent common double-clicking problems.

Power comes from a 500mAh battery, a substantial increase over the 200mAh capacity of its predecessor. Paired with a dual-core-class MCU, the larger battery delivers up to 119 hours of use at a 1,000Hz polling rate. The complete mouse weighs just 51 grams and comes in Pulsar's signature eS blue finish.

Another standout feature is the included Link 8K Dongle. Rather than acting solely as a wireless receiver, it also provides physical controls for adjusting settings such as DPI, polling rate, and profiles without requiring players to flip the mouse over or open software.

The eS Xlite joins a growing market for premium competitive gaming mice, alongside some recently launched products such as the Razer Basilisk V4 Pro, Logitech Pro X3 Superstrike and ASUS ROG Gladius IV Ace.
