Mighty No. 9 release date revealed
Some time ago we all were glad to hear that Keiji Inafune, the father of Mega Man, was working on a new project. It was even better when we knew that this new platform game was going to be the spiritual successor of the world famous console title that many of us have played for countless hours. The expectation for the launch of a title like that was so big that Mighty No. 9 managed to get successfully crowdfunded through Kickstater quite fast, raising over $4.000.000 total.

There is no doubt that the successful creation of this title is based on the popularity of Mega Man series and the similarities of the new game with the old franchise. Developer Comcept announced Mighty No. 9 as a "Classic Japanese side-scrolling action, evolved and transformed by Keiji Inafune, an all-star team of veteran Mega Man devs..", and it's working like a charm for them.
After a couple of initial delays publisher Deep Silver has announced that Mighty No. 9 is getting a new release date in February 2016, (the intended launch date for backers was originally April 2015). It will launch in the Americas on 9th February and 3 days later in Europe. The game will be available on physical and digital versions for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Wii U, but only in the digital version for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. PS Vita and Nintendo DS versions seem to be in the works but no release date has been announced for them so far.
