Intel confirms launch date for Battlemage GPUs
The first two GPUs in Intel's Battlemage lineup will be introduced in early December. The Arc B580 and B570 promise strong performance at competitive prices.
Intel has confirmed that the Battlemage GPU lineup will be unveiled on December 3, featuring two initial products: the Arc B580 and Arc B570, based on the Xe2-HPG architecture. This move marks Intel's latest effort to compete in the budget GPU segment, aiming to make a significant impact on the market.
According to the announced details, the Arc Battlemage B580 will utilize the Battlemage BMG-G21 GPU with 20 Xe2 cores, paired with 12GB of GDDR6 memory and a 192-bit bus. This GPU will support a maximum clock speed of 2.8 GHz and incorporate technologies such as Intel Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) and Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX). Meanwhile, the Arc B570 is expected to feature 18 Xe2 cores, although Intel has yet to reveal detailed specifications.

On December 12, Intel will lift the embargo on reviews for its limited edition products and launch sales of the lineup. Partner-produced (AIB) versions will be released and reviewed a day later, on December 13. This strategy is designed to draw initial attention to Intel's in-house designs. At this time, Intel has not disclosed plans for either higher-end or lower-end GPUs in the lineup. These details may become clearer during the launch event. It is anticipated that the Arc B580 will be priced at approximately $250 to $260, which is considered attractive in the mainstream market segment.
The Battlemage series is expected to help Intel solidify its position in the discrete GPU market, currently dominated by Nvidia and AMD. By focusing on the budget segment, Intel aims to appeal to mainstream users and gamers with limited budgets. More details will be revealed during the official launch in early December.
