Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrives on PlayStation 5 on April 17

Bethesda has confirmed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming to PlayStation 5 on April 17. This announcement puts an end to months of speculation following the game’s initial launch on December 9, 2024, when it was made available for Xbox Series and PC. Developed by MachineGames, the title puts players in the shoes of Indiana Jones in a first-person adventure. The story is set in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, featuring an original adventure.

The announcement of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for PlayStation 5 was a playful nod to another well-known treasure hunter who’s always getting into trouble. The video is presented by Nolan North, the actor famous for bringing Nathan Drake to life in the Uncharted series.

He jokes that Troy Baker, the voice actor for Indiana, has just joined an exclusive club and now gets to test what he considers the most important tool in an adventure. In the final scene, we see the Bethesda protagonist practicing with his whip, but the video cuts right before showing how precise he is with it. In case it wasn’t clear, the club he joined is simply making his way to Sony’s console. It’s all just a bit of fun, of course. After all, Troy Baker is also the voice of Joel in The Last of Us Part I Remake and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.

The game, developed by MachineGames, the studio behind Wolfenstein, follows Indiana battling Nazis who are after artifacts that will lead them to the Great Circle, a path that stretches across the globe, connecting various locations known for their unique powers. According to its official PS Store page, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will support DualSense features. Plus, according to Bethesda, the game will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro, meaning players can expect performance and graphical quality improvements.

Just like on Xbox Series X|S and PC, the company will sell a special edition of the game with a few extras. Those who purchase the Premium Edition will get 2-day early access to the full adventure, the story DLC The Order of Giants, a digital art book, and a special outfit from Temple of Doom.
