GreedFall will have an expansion

GreedFall is not your usual game inspired by 17th-century colonialism. Most of the titles that take inspiration from that era tend to be strategy games but in the case of Spiders' creation, it allows you to experience an amazing RPG adventure that combines history and fantasy. The colonization of overseas territories is seen through a different scope in GreedFall. You will play as De Sardet, an adventurer that has just arrived at a recently discovered island that has raised the interest of many European factions and countries. The place is brimming with people looking for an opportunity to get rich that don't care a thing about the natives or their culture. As you explore the island you will discover the secrets of the place and immerse yourself in an epic adventure where magic and tradition have quite an important role.

GreedFall was released September 10, 2019, and the game has just surpassed a million copies sold. To celebrate the success of the game, publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced that it will be getting an expansion and that GreedFall will be available on next-gen consoles. Unfortunately, nothing has been revealed about the content in the expansion or the date of its release. We only know that the development has already started and that there may be other types of content added to the game, probably in the form of DLC. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of GreedFall would be available "soon" but no release date has been confirmed either.
