From Dust to Carrots: How Air Hares Reimagines the Arcade Shooter

Unlike the traditional shoot-em-up games, where the goal is to blast the enemies (such as Crimzon Clover World EXplosion or DoDonPachi Resurrection), Air Hares reimagines the cockpit experience through "crop dusting" mechanics. 

The players will play as Captain Rabbo Sunskipper (a bunny pilot) or her sidekick Dirk. The objective in the game is to fly over barren lands (Winrose Warren) to seed and water carrot fields. The players will have to dodge waves of enemies from the "Gale Gang" while precisely aiming their "seeds" and "water" at the ground tiles. 

The game emphasizes player resource management and comba. It features a parry mechanic for close encounters and also allows players to perform barrel rolls to evade. As the game progresses, your' actions have an impact on the senario: when crops are sucessfully harvested, the desolate warren progresively transforms into a bustling metropolis, unlocking new recruits and plane upgrades.
