The video covers the shipwreck of the Thousand Sunny on the shores of the mysterious island where the story takes place, and follows Luffy as he starts exploring and looking for a way to repair his vessel. A significant part of the video is about the Straw Hat pirates fighting against the creatures of the island in exciting turn battles. We can see the iconic pirates using some of their signature moves and special powers to get rid of a variety of enemies ahead of the first boss fight in One Piece Odyssey, which pits them against a massive gorilla called Del Kong.
The video reveals the basics of the game and introduces you to the story in One Piece Odyssey and it's perfect to have a sneak peek at its combat mechanics. As an RPG with turn-based combat, One Piece Odyssey is quite different from previous games inspired by the franchise, which have been all about fighting. The possibility of swapping characters in and out of combat offers a wide range of possible combinations and allows you to handle every battle in many ways.
