Epic Games Store is offering two free games this week

The Epic Games Store has kicked off yet another free game promotion, featuring a double giveaway this time. Following last week's Super Space Club offer, PC gamers can now secure downloads of Deadtime Defenders and Touch Type Tale, two indie games that haven't received much recognition until now. As with previous offers, you have a week to permanently add these latest titles to your Epic library.

Among the two, Deadtime Defenders is a single-player looter shooter with RPG elements. In this game, you defend humanity against other-dimensional monsters while seeking the best upgrades. You have the option to create your own character and explore various game modes filled with randomly generated loot, culminating in an end game that allows you to chase after the rarest gear.

At the same time, the game is exiting early access, introducing a single-player story campaign, three levels of difficulty, achievements, Steam Deck compatibility, and other enhancements as part of its 1.0 update.

Next is Touch Type Tale. As suggested by its name, this real-time strategy game incorporates a typing element that enables players to manage troops, gather resources, and construct buildings solely by typing the words displayed on the screen, rather than using conventional mouse and keyboard inputs. The typing gameplay supports thirteen languages, and there are various difficulty levels to challenge your typing skills.

The giveaways for Deadtime Defenders and Touch Type Tale are currently live on the Epic Games Store and will be available until next Thursday, May 15. That date also marks the arrival of a new set of free games. Don’t forget to use our comparison tool to find the best bargains on your next favorite titles.
