Our selection of games worth keeping on the radar (Oct. 19–25, 2026)

Every week brings a fresh wave of games to Steam, and the week of October 19–25, 2026, was no exception. The latest dLcompare Weekly Recap ranks the ten biggest launches of the week and those titles that have been popular for whatever reason — from a moon-cleaning co-op sim to the biggest FPS launch of the year. Here is the full rundown, game by game.

Ten games featured in the latest dLcompare Weekly Recap (Oct. 19–25)

10. Escape from Playtime

Escape from Playtime is a 2-8 player online co-op horror game from Mob Entertainment, the studio behind Poppy Playtime. Released on October 21, it traps you and your friends in an abandoned toy factory full of shifting halls and creatures lurking in the dark. A strong concept with a 69% positive rating out of 2,000 reviews.

9. One Way Tickets

Released on October 23 by Future Tech., One Way Tickets is a roguelite incremental adventure: pick a vehicle, load it with gear, and push ever forward against waves of enemies. Its 82% positive launch reception makes it a sleeper pick among the week's indies.

8. Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest

Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest from Bamtang Games brings the beloved book series to Steam as an action-adventure where you create your own Warrior Cat, hunt, explore and battle rival clans. A mixed 49% hasn't stopped the books' huge fanbase from showing up.

7. Task Bar Cube

A free-to-play idle RPG from DarkRook Interactive, Task Bar Cube runs in a window — or directly from your taskbar — while you upgrade characters and pets and chase rare equipment. Its 26% positive rating out of 277 reviews makes it the week's most criticized launch.

6. We Were Here Tomorrow

Total Mayhem Games returns to its asymmetric co-op roots on October 20: We Were Here Tomorrow wakes you and a partner inside a mysterious Norček facility where only communication gets you out. Reviews are mixed at 45%, but series fans are still on board.

5. The Hidden Ones

Published by IndieArk and released on October 22, The Hidden Ones is a four-player co-op horror puzzle game where a seemingly ordinary fire unravels a buried cold case. A 20% positive reception makes it one of the rougher launches of the week.

4. QuestAway

A free-to-play idle RPG from ART X GAMES, QuestAway lives next to your taskbar: build a party of heroes, send them off to fight, and come back to loot. Twelve times a day, everyone teams up against a giant Colossus. The concept drew 26% positive across 671 reviews.

3. Moon Sweepers

From DragDrop Games, Moon Sweepers (October 23) takes a satisfying cleanup loop and sends it to space: scrub the entire Moon with up to 16 players, sell lunar dust, upgrade your tools and unlock cleaning vehicles. A 76% positive rating across 2,000 reviews makes it the cozy hit of the week.

2. Final Fantasy Resonance

Square Enix's Final Fantasy Resonance (October 22, with Lancarse) is the week's critical darling at 93% positive across 4,000 reviews. The game offers a pixel-art return to the series' classic roots, and it pairs companions bound by fate with summons called Visions.

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

No surprise at the top: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 peaked at 227,000 concurrent players on Steam alone per the recap. War erupts on the Korean Peninsula in the campaign, which holds a 73% positive rating across 11,000 reviews — a solid start for the year's biggest shooter. The addition of the new DMZ mode and a variety of exciting novelties has pushed MW4 to the top, where it will probably stay for a while, since its Season 1 will begin soon.
