Death's Gambit: Afterlife is an expanded version of the 2018 2D action platformer Death's Gambit, created by developer White Rabbit. It provides a challenging action platformer experience with deep RPG elements, placing players in the role of a soldier who has made a pact with death in pursuit of immortality. The original game included 20 levels with formidable enemies and bosses, along with a variety of weapons and abilities to master.

The Afterlife edition includes 10 additional challenging levels, 30 weapons, five new bosses, new mechanics, and other features. Fans of games like Souls and Metroidvania should feel right at home in the world of Aldwyn. Alongside the free game, the Epic Games Store has collaborated with Wargaming to offer a bundle of extras for the free-to-play World of Warships. The Starter Pack: Albany, which is generally valued at $25, can be claimed by all PC gamers for a week, and contains ships, credits, and eco bonuses.

Death's Gambit: Afterlife is typically priced at $19.99 when not on sale. The free offering on the Epic Games Store will last until August 22, and once claimed, the game belongs to the user permanently. A new title will be made available in the freebie slot next week.
