Dark Souls Remastered finally gets a Seamless Co-op mod
While FromSoftware dives into new multiplayer projects like The Duskbloods, the Soulsborne community isn’t sitting still. Nearly 7 years after its PC release, Dark Souls Remastered has finally received a seamless co-op mode, exciting fans who are eager to return to the legendary title that started it all.
A well-known modder on Nexus Mods named Yui—who previously made waves with the Seamless Co-op Mod for Dark Souls III—has just released a similar mod for Dark Souls Remastered. While the bosses in the Dark Souls Remastered version might not be as punishing as those in Dark Souls III (except for the DLC bosses), exploring the world of Lordran still offers plenty of challenge—especially for newcomers. This mod was created to ease the stress, making the journey more enjoyable with friends by your side.
A True Dark Souls Co-op Experience
The biggest draw of this seamless mod is its complete removal of co-op restrictions present in the original game. There’s no being kicked out after defeating a boss and no need to constantly re-summon each other to continue playing. You and your friends can now journey through the entire game together seamlessly, from start to finish—no interruptions like in the vanilla multiplayer system. The mod also brings several helpful features:
-
Fast and stable connections: The new system allows players to quickly reconnect with their teammates without any complicated steps.
-
Difficulty customization: Through the ds1sc_settings.ini file, players can adjust the game’s difficulty based on the number of players in the group.
-
Disable PvP invasions: If you're only interested in PvE, the mod allows you to completely turn off invasions.
Whether you're new to the series or a seasoned “Lordran war god” looking for a more relaxed experience, this mod offers a fresh and exciting way to play Dark Souls.
Some important notes when using this mod:
-
The mod uses a separate save file—so it won’t affect your original game data.
-
It works entirely offline—it doesn’t connect to FromSoftware’s servers, so there’s no risk of getting banned.
The Dark Souls series has long been known for its brutal difficulty and complicated co-op system. Now that both Dark Souls III and Dark Souls Remastered have seamless co-op mods, this is the perfect time to return and experience these legends in an entirely new way—smoother, more fun, and with friends from start to finish.
