Crackdown currently free to celebrate the release of Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3 will be released in 8 days now, precisely, on February 15th. On the occasion of the release of the game, Larry Hryb, also known as his nickname Major Nelson, said via Twitter, that the first Crackdown of the series is available for free for Xbox players. The game is available on both Xbox 360, the console on which it was released in 2007, and on Xbox One through backward compatibility.

Launched back in 2007, Crackdown is a third-person action game, considered by many to be GTA-like. And this is not surprising, as Dave Jones, its creator, and founder Realtime Worlds, is also behind the Grand Theft Auto license, but also cult series Lemmings.

Crackdown was able to seduce players thanks to the great freedom of action that it gave them, but also thanks to its amazing protagonist. Indeed, in the game you play as a genetically modified representative of the law with superhuman strength and agility, allowing him, for example, to climb buildings. In addition to this, he is a formidable shooter and adept with explosives of all kinds. Crackdown's plot is simple but effective: your super cop must face 3 different gangs, Los Muertos, the Volks, and the Shai-Gen, with a total of 21 bosses.
