What interests me most is the return of mods. The community kept this game alive for almost twenty years, so having all that content back with a modernized version is a huge plus. Many games would dream of such longevity. Between the campaigns, the multiplayer maps, and the player creations, there's more than enough to keep you entertained for hundreds of hours without getting bored.

i remember getting this plus all the expansion packs. was one of the really good games back then. dont think it needs any sort of overhaul, was good enough back then

Why not! I started straight with the second one without having played the first, so this would be a good opportunity to discover the origins of the series. The only problem is the release window: if it comes out at the same time as Dawn of War 4, it might be difficult to choose where to spend most of my time.
