Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is free to claim on the Epic Games Store
The ninth day of the Epic Games Store's mystery giveaway event has officially arrived, bringing a new game to the forefront. This time, the store is offering Disco Elysium - The Final Cut as a freebie. PC gamers can obtain this latest offering and retain it forever by claiming it before the next game becomes available in the next few hours.
Created by ZA/UM and launched in 2019, this title is a highly acclaimed RPG that emphasizes player choice in every aspect. With an isometric view, players assume the role of an amnesiac detective tasked with solving a murder mystery.
The giveaway features The Final Cut edition of the game, which includes full voice acting for nearly 100 characters within the narrative, along with additional quests for players to uncover. The game has been lauded for providing unmatched role-playing possibilities through skill checks and dialogue options. Its psychological complexity is another highlighted feature of Disco Elysium, with many players noting that certain character interactions are quite memorable.
On the downside, it does present a rather challenging learning curve. There are time-sensitive scenarios that can often feel harsh, particularly when the game is played in Hardcore mode. However, some players mention that making regular saves can ease the experience.
Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is available for free on the Epic Games Store for the next few hours. As the special holiday event continues, no one outside of Epic Games is aware of what will be offered next. The forthcoming mystery game will be unveiled and accessible to all PC gamers at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET on December 26.
So far, the store has provided free access to Hogwarts Legacy, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, Eternights, Blood West, Sorry We're Closed, Paradise Killer, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and The Callisto Protocol for PC gamers to keep. The event is scheduled to continue until December 31, with a new giveaway each day.
And as always, be sure to visit our free games page and keep an eye out for upcoming titles and special offers.
