Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be on Game Pass

Since Microsoft bought Activision, the future of the Call of Duty franchise has been uncertain. Many players were expecting its games to be added to Game Pass. Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed this last year, and since then the speculation about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III being available through Microsoft's gaming subscription service has not stopped. Now that Activision has confirmed that the upcoming title in the popular FPS franchise will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, everyone was wondering if it would be the first Call of Duty title to be available via the Game Pass. Well, we finally have the answer to that question since Microsoft has officially confirmed that the game will launch on Game Pass on day one.

A short post on Xbox Wire gratefully surprised those subscribed to Microsoft's gaming service, who will be able to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at no additional cost when the game is released.

"We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass."

“As revealed last week, we will have a special Xbox Games Showcase followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9, 2024, at 10am PT, where we’ll share even more details on what’s coming in this all-new Call of Duty. Get eyes on the first in-depth look at gameplay in this dark new chapter of the Black Ops series.”

The publication also includes the first video of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is a live-action cinematic that serves as a teaser for the final reveal of the game. The fans have now ten days to theorize and speculate about the new game and its possible novelties and features. One thing is sure, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be all about covert operations and the war in the shadows.

In any case, the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is not int the horizon until Activision confirms a release date.
