Assassin's Creed Valhalla upcoming expansion will launch next month

Despite its problems in other areas, it seems that Ubisoft will manage to launch some of the content that the company had planned for Assassin's Creed Valhalla more or less around the date it was supposed to. Wrath of the Druids expansion took players to Ireland, opening new territories to explore and adding new features to the game, but The Siege of Paris will move the action to a completely different scenario. Assassin's Creed Valhalla players will travel to France to take part in one of the most epic battles of the era in an attempt to conquer the country in an all-out assault to the capital. Infiltration missions, new enemies, and alliances to forge are just part of what Eivor will encounter in this expansion. Ubisoft has confirmed that the Siege of Paris will be available August 12 across all platforms for all those that own Assassin's Creed Valhalla Season Pass or purchase the expansion separately.

But that's not the only addition that Assassin's Creed Valhalla players can enjoy. A new major update has just been released and it adds plenty of content to the game for free. If they have progressed enough in the main campaign, players can take part in the Sigrblot Festival, a time-limited event that will start in a couple of days and will last until August 19. It's possible to take part in some mini-games and unlock decorations for your settlement and customization items for your character, and even get a notable one-handed sword as a reward. This update marks the beginning of the Season of the Sigrblot, and it will be followed by more additions in the future, like new River Raids that will take Eivor to France and Ireland.
