AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT specifications have leaked via a GPU-Z screenshot

HKEPC has shared a GPU-Z screenshot revealing the specifications of AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card. This will be the company’s leading RDNA 4 graphics card, set to launch next month.

It's important to note that this isn't the first time details regarding AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT have surfaced. Nonetheless, this leak verifies that AMD’s upcoming Radeon GPU will feature PCIe 5.0 support.

We believe that this new RDNA 4 GPU represents an aftermarket design, as it boasts a boost clock speed of 3.1 GHz. This exceeds the previously leaked reference clock speeds of AMD’s RX 9070 XT. Furthermore, this leak confirms that AMD’s latest GPU comes equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit memory bus. In comparison, Nvidia’s least expensive RTX 50-series GPU offering 16GB of VRAM is the $999 RTX 5080.

Even if we overlook the architectural improvements brought by RDNA 4, the RX 9070 XT features higher clock speeds and more Compute Units than the RX 7800 XT. This will render AMD’s new RDNA 4 GPU faster than its predecessor. Coupled with AMD’s architectural advancements, the RX 9070 XT could prove to be a remarkably capable graphics card.

AMD has made significant claims about RDNA 4. If they can achieve these enhancements and maintain competitive pricing, AMD may capture substantial market share in 2025. However, AMD must present a compelling value proposition; otherwise, PC gamers are likely to favor Nvidia GPUs. It is crucial for AMD to adopt an aggressive strategy with RDNA 4.
