Star Wars Battlefront II is the second free game in PlayStation Plus next month

It seems that Sony has decided that the subscribers of the PlayStation Plus service should be playing first-person shooting games next month. A few days ago we revealed that Call of Duty WWII was going to be available for free for PlayStation Plus members, and you can download and play it already if you are one of those. Sony also announced that it was not meant to be the only title that would be free during June and now it has confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront II will accompany Call of Duty WWII. Starting June 2 you can download and play DICE's shooter and take part in epic battles that recreate the best moments of the Star Wars films.

Star Wars Battlefront II didn't have a very good release due to some controversy with the way in which the game handled loot boxes and progression. Thankfully, the developers continued working hard on the game and they have finished releasing all the content they expected with a recent update. Although that means that we won't see any more new content for the game, Star Wars Battlefront II has changed a lot since it was released, and it now offers a much better experience that has managed to make quite happy the fans of the Star Wars series. That is definitely something to be acknowledged.

The game features intense multiplayer battles in a variety of gameplay modes that will take you through several planets. You can also unlock and play as many of the most popular characters in the Star Wars series and the experience is something you shouldn't miss if you are a fan.

If you don't have a PlayStation Plus subscription you might want to consider getting one just to play those games next month. Both of them will be available for free until July 6th and if you claim them before that date you will be able to play them on your PS4 as long as you have an active subscription.
