Peaky Blinders: Mastermind will be released on August 20

Unveiled in April, Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is a game developed by Curve Digital that allows you to reunite with all the most iconic members of the Shelby family.

Although it was announced to be released this summer on PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, the precise launch date was not known but Curve Digital has just published a new trailer for Peaky Blinders: Mastermind, that reveals that it will be released on August 20 on all platforms.

The theme of the game is not much of a mystery. It takes the setting and characters of the series broadcasted on BBC and Netflix. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind takes place before season 1 after Tommy, Arthur, and John have returned from the war and it stages Tommy's rise to the head of the Peaky Blinders. You will also find the other characters of the family, Ada, Polly, and even Finn, each with their own abilities and playstyle. Arthur is for example very effective in combat, and Finn is more adept at slipping through narrow passages or pickpocketing.

In terms of gameplay, Peaky Blinders: Mastermind offers an original approach. You have to solve puzzles using various characters. You can control their actions which are automatically recorded on a timeline. You can go back or forward to synchronize the actions of the characters through a system reminiscent of video editing software. Nothing is final, you can always change the actions of your characters, but you have limited time. So you need to show some insight and be a fine strategist. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is aptly named, as the title also refers to Tommy's ability to anticipate.
