For this fifth installment published by Square Enix, Agent 47 returns in better shape than ever! After a period of absence, our friend returns in a most somber story… Indeed, right from the start, you will be asked by the Agency to eliminate your only friend for "treason," and it is precisely this event that will be the starting point for a questioning and a search for truth on the part of our hero!

In terms of gameplay, there are no major notable changes; it is still a matter of choosing your way of operating, oscillating between the silent killer and the brute who bursts into a room armed to the teeth. You will obviously find what made the series a success: a multitude of different objects to use in order to worthily assassinate your enemies, or the typical disguises which have the ability to make certain situations particularly comical.

As for new features, Agent 47 now possesses "Instinct." This faculty allows our protagonist to predict enemy movements, spot key objects, and finally activate a kind of Bullet-time that will allow you to take down several enemies in just a few seconds. Instinct recharges according to the difficulty level you are playing in; the harder it is, the slower it will recharge, all with the goal of not making the task too easy for hardcore gamers.

Regarding the graphics, even if they are not the priority of such a game, we note the presence of a new graphics engine. The latter brings a good dose of freshness to the game as well as a most colorful environment.

Hitman Absolution remains, of course, a single-player game, but with the aim of bringing a bit of competition and interactivity between players, the publisher did not forget to integrate a multiplayer mode called "Contracts." In this mode, it involves issuing contracts between players by choosing a map, targets, etc. The missions are played solo, but you can then compare your points with those of your opponents. This mode provides a longer lifespan for the game and undoubtedly a good dose of competition.
