Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster is a 2D/2.5D action-adventure and Metroidvania featuring hand-drawn visuals, sword combat, creature transformations, and fighting-game-inspired arena battles. Developed by Dormidin Studio and published by Selecta Play, the game takes place in the fantasy world of Arborea, where war threatens the fragile peace between humans and non-human races.

You play as Ren, the last Beastmaster, a warrior who can absorb the souls of creatures and transform into different beasts. Each transformation grants unique abilities that help you fight enemies, overcome obstacles, access new areas, and discover alternative routes across Arborea's interconnected world.

Combat combines sword techniques, magic, potions, summons, and the powerful Heart-Eater sword. You can also customize Ren's abilities through a ritual necklace, using collected fangs, amulets, and plant roots to improve attacks, health, or mana.

Alongside Metroidvania exploration, Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster features Arena battles inspired by classic fighting games, optional quests, NPC storylines, and multiple endings. As an ancient prophecy unfolds and war spreads across Arborea, your choices and Beastmaster abilities will determine the fate of its inhabitants.
