    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the same Spirit for both combat and resource gathering, or do I need to specialize them?
Spirits can be used for both combat and resource gathering, but the skills and stats that make them effective in one area may not translate perfectly to the other. Experimentation is key to finding the best Spirit setup for your playstyle.
How does the 'Spirit Pact' mechanic influence my gameplay, and what are the long-term consequences of forming a Pact with a particular Spirit?
Forming a Spirit Pact provides unique benefits, such as stat bonuses or access to new abilities, but also influences the Spirit's evolution. Pacts offer a deeper bond with that spirit, changing their skills and look in the long run. Different pacts exist, allowing for multiple builds.
Besides combat, what is the core gameplay loop around interacting with the island's unique biomes and weather systems?
The core gameplay loop centers around exploring procedurally generated islands, gathering resources specific to each biome, and managing your farm. Weather, seasons, and day/night cycles influence resource availability and Spirit behavior.
How does the card-based combat system work, and how does it encourage strategic team-building with my Spirits?
The card-based combat system requires you to build a deck of cards for each Spirit, which determines their abilities. Team-building involves creating diverse Spirit combinations to exploit enemy weaknesses and synergize card effects.
What's the relationship between the 'Orb' system, Spirit training, and crafting powerful items?
Orbs are consumed to train your spirits, giving them stat increases and new skills. Certain high-end crafting recipes require specific orbs. The right combination can lead to unique powerful items.
Is there a limit to how many Spirits I can befriend and train, and how does this affect resource management?
There is a limit to the number of Spirits you can actively train. Managing your Spirit roster and prioritizing the most effective ones for your current goals is key to successful resource management.
How does the crafting system interact with the exploration aspect, and what types of unique items can I create to enhance my abilities?
Crafting is directly tied to exploration. Certain resources are only found in specific biomes. You can create tools, equipment, and consumables that improve your combat effectiveness, gathering efficiency, or Spirit training.
What role does the 'Sky' aspect play in the game, and how does it influence the island environments and gameplay?
